Our Mission

ORAH is committed to fostering responsible AI practices through education, dialogue, advocacy, and recognition of best practices across sectors. The initiative seeks to drive discussions on AI ethics, data governance, and privacy while influencing policy and creating a network of stakeholders dedicated to responsible AI.

Objectives

ORAH’s objectives span several activities and initiatives aimed at promoting responsible AI and data protection:

  • Fostering Dialogue and Awareness: Organizing monthly discussions to promote public awareness and understanding of the ethical and societal implications of AI.
  • Advocacy for Responsible AI and Data Protection: Promoting advocacy for the development of robust legal frameworks for AI governance and data privacy.
  • Promoting Best Practices in AI Development: Providing a platform for sharing innovative strategies and promoting transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI systems.
  • Cross-Sector Collaboration: Facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration between the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society on responsible AI governance.
  • Capacity Building for Responsible AI: Delivering tailored workshops to build capacity in ethical AI development, regulation, and governance.
  • Recognition of Excellence: Establishing a yearly award to recognize AI excellence and best practices across various sectors, rewarding those leading the charge in responsible AI.
